God’s Salvation

The Lord stated by the prophet Isaiah,

The Lord’s arm is not too short to save you,
and his ear is not too dull to hear you.
But your sins separated you from your God!
Your sins have hidden his face from you
so that he does not hear you.
(Isaiah 59:1–2)

But God, in his mercy, sent his Son to earth in order that we might see his face.

As another of God’s messengers said after Christ came:

The same God who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” has shone in our hearts—to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. (2 Corinthians 4:6)

We see God and his glories in his only begotten Son.

If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and if you believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. (Romans 10:9)

God created you in His image to honor, love, serve, and glorify Him.

To us there is but one God, the Father, from whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him (1 Corinthians 8:6).

For by Christ all things were created—things that are in heaven and things that are in earth; visible and invisible; whether thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers. All things were created by him, and for him. (Colossians 1:16)

For of him [God], and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen. (Romans 11:36)

That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ (Ephesians 1:2).

Man fell in Adam.

That means all mankind are sinners; separated from God—and this includes you. Your fellowship with God has been broken. You lack the glory of God which was your created purpose. You are a sinner and under the wrath of God as was I.

Wherefore, as by one man [Adam] sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned (Romans 5:12).

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23).

The penalty for sin is death.

The penalty for sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. (Romans 6:23)

The fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and sexually immoral, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their portion in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death. (Revelation 21:8)

The Lord Jesus Christ, God’s sinless Son, died and He arose again the third day victoriously over sin and death.

As the true God in human flesh, he took God’s wrath for sin. The payment was made!

Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. (Matthew 1:23)

But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. (Romans 5:8)

For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. (2 Corinthians 5:21)

For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: and that he was seen. (1 Corinthians 15:3-5a)

In order to have restored fellowship and new life in Christ, setting you free from the bondage of sin, you must turn from sin and put your faith in the Lord Jesus Christ alone for salvation.

It is a salvation not of human effort, will, or works. It is His gift. Will you receive the Lord Jesus Christ as your God and Savior now?

Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts. Let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him—and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. (Isaiah 55:7)

The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and a contrite heart, O God, you will not despise. (Psalm 51:17)

[Abraham was] fully persuaded that what [God] had promised he was able also to perform. (Romans 4:21)

As many as received him, to them he gave power to become the sons of God, even to those who believe on his name—who were born not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. (John 1:12–13)

Whoever calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. (Romans 10:13)
